I need to know by how much further back a Thomson
Problem concerns my efforts to get the saddle on my touring bike further back into a more comfortable riding position. I am about to buy a Thomson Layback post but I need to know by how much further back a Thomson Layback seatpost enables a saddle to be placed as compared to a standard seatpost, say, a Ritchie WCS. Can you help, please?

The term you need to look at in your search for a seatpost is Offset. This is rated in mm and signifies how far behind the center of the post the clamp is.
