I need to replace the fuser gear on a XC1040
I need to replace the fuser gear on a Xeroc XC1040 copier. I have the part but I don't know how to get the copier opened far enough to get to the fuser assembly. I can guess but I hope someone might actually know how. Help is appreciated.

You have to remove that small cover on the bottom of the frame. It has 2 phillips screws to remove it. it is the cover about 3 inches high that runs around the lower front part of the machine.
Once you do that, you only have to remove one screw , unplug the heat rod and lift the fuser up and out. It really is pretty easy.
