I own a pride mobility scooter with an issue of stopping
I own a pride mobility scooter. We were in Disney world and on our third day my scooter stopped dead then went again. Next I was going along and I took my hand off the trottle to stop and the scooter keep on going and pick-up speed to fast like the rabbit. Then stopped dead and would go any more. My husband took off the cover and the box under the seat the control box was burning hot. My husband had to push me to our dinner reservations and then out of the park. We had seven more days of our vacation and I had to rented a wheelchair. We couldn't rely on that scooter. Now we're home and it works fine. But I'm afraid to use it anymore. Does anyone know of anything like this happening. We contacted a repire shop and he told us it was the batteries but I don't think so they read a full charge. I hope someone can help me. Thanks for your time and have a great day.

It could be a loose battery connector and the controller heats up when it's trying to pull amperage out of the batteries but can't because of the loose connection Try tightening bolts on batteries but disconnect them first. Also it could be the brake on the motor and if the unit isn't shutting off the lights on the tiller blink in patterns to let you know what problems to check for.
