I own an xbox 360 elite, and I am having problems connecting to my friends while playing online. A couple of weeks ago we were able to play online just fine. A couple of days ago we were not able to connect. I could go online and play with random people, but my friend and I could not join in the same party. I use a westell 6100 model modem. I have done the troubleshooting through both AT&T and Microsoft. Neither one could give me a solution to my problem. When I do the system test on my 360, the NAT connection comes up moderate. Can someone please help

Are one or both of you behind a router of any kind that might have a firewall feature on it blocking you from communicating with one another. It is possible that the specific port used to connect the two of you has been accidentally blocked. Try resetting security on one or both of your routers, or try connecting directly to the internet by connecting your modem to your Xbox360 directly. Doing this will show you where the problem is, if it is with the router than going directly to the modem should resolve the issue. If this does not resolve the issue than perhaps there is something wrong with your settings on the Xbox.
