I pugged the dirtdevil 087800 to do some cleaning and it started smelling like there a burn wire
What is the problem, how or where can I locate the burnt part, does it have a fuse, where is it located? It is not belt problem, I have checked it and it is ok.

If it's been over six months since belt replaced start there first. Belts may look ok and brush might spin but when sweeping the belt will slip on the brush roll.
