I purchased a philips norelco 8150XL shaver and have been using it for a month. I hit the power button one day and heard a click sound, but no rotation of blades. When I pop the head of the shaver, motor turns the plastic rotators and the trimmer works as well but when I close the head again all I hear is a single click sound again
It sounds like one of the heads is damaged and causing it to 'lock up'. Remove each of the heads one at a time and turn the blade inside of the comb with your fingers. They should move freely. I suspect that one will not rotate. If this is the case, you will need a new set of heads. You will find them at shaveroutlet.com. See link belwo
It is also possible that the retainer could be installed wrong. Make sure that the heads are in proper position and that the retainer is undamaged and put correctly in place
