I purchased a revfurbished MB for my HP5398H
I purchased a refurbished MB for my HP 5398H Laptop. I cannot get the AMD processor locked back into the socket. Best Buy told me that they thought there should be a bracket of some sort that goes over the AMD processor underneath the heat sink that forces the locking mechanism on the socket to slide over into the locked position but when I removed the pld mother board to replace it I don't remember there being such a bracket. With the processor in place I cannot get the top portion of the socket to slide over into the locked position that is cleary marked as wich way the locked position should be. My PC shuts doen nearly immediatley after you depress the power button and I'm certain it's because the processor is not engaged to the pins. Can you help me? I tried the old mother board and I experience the same issue.
