I purchased a VEC142 worklight and cant get it to charge. This light is brand new. never been used. I returned the first one i purchased for the same reason. and i cant figure out why it wont work. I do exactly what the instructions tell me to do. I called tec support and they have the same instructions and dont know why it wont work

The battery is dead, even new lead-acid batteries can be no good if they have been sitting for awhile, you can contact Black and Decker for Warranty or to purchase a new battery. Here is the link;
