I put a new battery n my Wahl System4000 shaver but now the charger connection seems to be shot. I used to be able to jiggle the cord connector & set it so the recharge light to turn on, but no more. Is it worth replacing that part?

Mcdevito75 here, Most likely not, replace the shaver, anyway with a loose / broken part specially electrical could be hazardous.
