I ran out of oil,so the warning light came on.i topped the oil up & the car is running fine but the oil light it still on.Is that normal for the light to stay on??Also,is there a way to get the light off without being charged to put it on a diagnostics machine??Is there a sequence of button pressing that removes it?Also, how do you remove a service light?
Oil light should go out when oil pressure gets to operating pressure, if the light is still on, you either do not have enough oil pressure, or your sending switch is bad, the service engine light indicates a problem which needs to be addressed, using a scanner to read codes and determine repair is needed
