I received a ZTE Z990G as a gift because I wanted to upgrade from my old phone. When I called Net 10 to activate it I was told that it was not scanned properly at store when purchased and that I have to take it back and have the store rescan it. It was a gift so I don't have the receipt and I threw away everything but the phone and instruction pamphlet. Is there a way to activate the phone without taking it back to the store? It was $99 and it would be really crazy to have to purchase another one because of something so stupid. Please help me!!

You might be able to activate it at the store, and that would, of course, be your best option. Sure, it's a hassle, but, get together with the gift-giver and have them go with you, or, get the receipt.
