I removed the central unit of my Gaggia to clean it and unfortunately dropped it. The top part came free, but I have clipped it back in place as best I can. The unit seems to fit back into the machine but the red light is on indicating that something is not correct. I found a spring on the floor which may or may not have come from the unit, I cannot see anywhere it will fit. PLease help
Hello. If you can carefully remove the top part again, you may see where the spring goes. if not, you may have to mail it in for a repair.
Here is the USA contact information: Importika 2200 Brighton Henrietta Town Line Rd 14623, Rochester, NY Mr. Salzman Ph. 585.742.5178 Fax 585-292-5826 web site: www.importika.com e-mail: [email protected]
Look at where the central unit fits. You'll notice it is supposed to push down on a safety switch. Use a piece of tape and press the switch down then tape it into place.
From your description of the problem ,, this is the only thing i can think off that could have gone wrong.
