I replaced a clutch in 92 Subaru Legacy. The gear shifter will not go into gear while car is running, but it will go in gear when turned off. Why is this happening? How can I fix this problem?
When I dropped the transmission i noticed that the clutch shifting fork was cracked so i welded that back together. Also the throwout bearing was broken. I replaced that and the clutch. Could it be that the transmission is damaged on the inside? I hope not

It sounds like clutch is not desingauging is the hyd slave cylinder full and did you bleed it
