I replaced the battery in my Timex Expedition watch and while it shows time now, the beeper no longer beeps. I've heard that you have to ''short out'' something when you replace the battery on a watch. ??
The peizo beeper is usually attached to the watch back, but not in the center. It is usually off to one side, and there is a spring that sticks out of the watch that is supposed to make contact with the watch back (not where the peizo is though.) So when you put the back on the watch, you have to make sure to turn the back so that it is in the proper original placement for the contacts to be made. You can sometimes see some wear where the contacts were originally made. Good luck...
