I sat in my kindle (in the car) and bent it, now all the data is unreadable. Can it be fixed?
I fell asleep and put my weight on the kindle standing up - it bent slightly and then was inoperable.

I doubt it. Go back to place you bought it. Best buy or amazon may be able to help you replace it without loss of anything you have stored on it. Try amazon first.
Sorry to say but it's definitively damaged and no way to repair it. Maybe yuo can sell it for parts
