I started and used my powermatic 66 5 hp saw as usual until I pushed to "off" button and it wouldn't stop. I unplugged it and plugged it in again and it started as if the switch is stuck in the on position. The buttons feel as if they function as normal but don't disconnect the power
This is most probably a wiring problem, either pay for it to be mended, or diy at your own risk.
okay 1st. UNPLUG FROM MAINS. 2nd. remove the front panal, which is around the on button 3rd. there should be a wire connecting the on button to the rest of the wiring, make sure that hasnt been knocked about, make sure the button is clean and then re-attach the front panal and start it up.
if this doesnt mend the problem, i suggest getting someone professional to fix it, this may cost though.
The switch is shot they do that or not turn on when they decide to go out it just happened when you had it on normally it happens when you go to turn it on,i'm sorry but it needs to be replaced.
