I suspect water is seeping in under my AC unit
I own a 1995 Monaco Dynasty that has been in the family since new. The coach has been well maintained and never abused. I have a Duo Therm Model 620215 roof mounted Air Conditioner and a fiberglass roof. Recently while driving in the rain I developed a drip through a ceiling light fixture. I suspect water is seeping in under my AC unit as this is the only place I can't do a visual inspection. The vents, solar panels, shower bubble, etc all "seem" to be well sealed. Anything I should know before removing the AC unit? Do they make a replacement gasket or kit for this job? If after inspecting under the AC unit, I don't find the leak, how do I go about locating the spot where the water is entering? Any help would be appreciated. Scott

The roof A/C unit has a foam rubber seal/one piece gasket that fits around the part you see inside the coach but must be put in pklace before the unit is inserted in the roof opening. Replacing is relatively easy but you will need to remove the interior trim Disconnect the wiring from the coach to the unit and remove the four bolts holding the unit in place. Then lift out the A/C.to replace the seal. They do leak because of age and compression by units weight. Good Luck
First get out the water hose and try and find for sure it is th a/c seal and if so they do make replacement seals. but try and make sure first because it is quite heavy and it involse elect. discounting try awning seals at the ridge and all the seams first.
