I think The Montego Tigershark has 2 drain plug, located 1 on left side and 1 on the back. Do I need to close these plugs before entering the water?
Seems that water is getting in the engine compartment,and not really sure if it's because I left the side plug open.

Yes also check the unions to the pumps and check to see if drain plugs in pumps are tight
