I too have problems with my DT250 apex converter box. I actually have two they both died. They both have the constant red light and chirp like its trying to turn on. I phoned the company and even though it is still under warranty I have to pay for labor and shipping. Shouldnt Apex be responsible they are only a year old (in about 2 weeks).How do i fix the problem?

Apex is a low end cheap brand. You get what you pay for.
Sounds like the power supply chip has failed. Nothing to lose, open the ****** up and look for the little birdie. Find the chip number and look it up on the internet.
