I took my renult espace 2.2 dci for a full valet on Friday, engine clean, seats etc, I went to pick it up Saturday and it don't go at all, the bloke said he had left it running for 4 hours to dry the seats etc, and it run out of diesel as he forgot to switch it off, it's now at a garage under investigation for last two days , I'm very angry as I believe the car valet is to blame, it has had eight hours spent on it to get it going, had special electric man to check the electrics who say they fine, it will turn over but just won't go, now having another two hours spent on it to try and get to what's wrong with it, please help have you or anyone have any idea what it could be , many thanks
Probably needs the fuel system to be bled of air if it is a common rail diesel engine which I suspect it is , the pump could be damaged and not producing the required 25,000psi There was no need to run the engine to dry the seats as that could have been done with a fan and heater While the vehicle is in the care of the company or valet operation , they can be held responsible for all damages and costs get legal advice on that position in the mean time you will need an accredited diesel specialist shop to diagnose the problem and quote for the legal team
