I tried to block my daugter access to my hard drive and made it so no one can access it
So i connected my hard drive up and right clicked and messed with the permissions part... now i locked everything away and tried to get it back to normal, but now my vlc player wont play files etc... how do i reset it so its back to normal.

Hi just would like to share basic solution on this. Hope this'll work. If you happened to change file acccess default apps and cannot remember how it was done you can use recovery mode and choose return to previous recovery points that your system is running in good condition. If persistent, go back again to safe mode and create a new profile at control panel, user profile, then manage to create new profile. Restart again, and access the system using the new created profile. Hope this works...
