I tried to upgrade vmfusion on the imac from 1.1 3.02 but hibernated instead of closing the existing application running windows xp. now when i try to open vmware fusion, i get the message "Failed to connect to peer process". What should i do?

Try deleting the contents of Library/Application Support/VMware Fusion/kexts then reinstall.
