I tried what you suggested
I closed all programs except McAfee. Recording froze at 1% again. I check Ctrl, ALT, Delete and looked at CPU usage. It was only at 2%. Is is possible that I need to update the driver?

It means the program is not responding try adjusting the write speed before burning 'coz sometimes if you put that in maximum speed it can cause buffer underrun errors or check the disc you are using
