I turn on asus laptop and it seems to be can't complete "POST"
Like a " stuck record" is about the best description I can give. Turn on the lap top and it won't complete POST, it just keeps ticking. Is this a bios or cmos problem. The last thing I did was defrag because the lap top kept freezing, shutting down, restarting checking disk and generally being a pain. During the defrag the computer froze so I turn it off and the next day this problem has been happening. HELP!

R u sure that your comp isnt completing POST coz from the issue stated i suspect that it could be a hdd issue. try doing an OSRI from a bootable disc and this should resolve the issue.., else try running DIAGS on the hdd to check if there is any issue with the HDD.
