I use a Wyse 30+ terminal with my MAXA auction software. It keeps saying cannot connect to COM2. So I bought a new one and it says the same thing. How do I set my default settins or whatever I need to do. I am having an auction on Saturday and I am desparate. My main computer which is connected to this is a Dell Windows XP Thanks

There could be a possibility that COM2 is the only COM port available on your computer. Aside from that, there should be a way to change the COM port settings in your MAXA software. You may need to refer to the user manual of the MAXA software.
To change the COM port settings on your computer, please follow the steps below:
1. Right-click 'My Computer' icon on your Desktop screen and then go to Properties.
2. Click the 'Hardware' tab and click the 'Device Manager'
3. Under the Device Manager, locate the 'Ports' and click the plus (+) sign next to it.
4. Look for the name of your device (Wyse) and then right-click on it.
5. Select properties and then go to 'Ports' tab. Then you will see the available COM port numbers.
From there, you may select the COM port number that you would like to use. Make sure that the COM port in the computer is the same with the COM port in your MAXA software so that they will communicate.
