Use your finger nail and press and slide it along the seem where the front and back meet..there are at least 2 snaps on each side of the gps...start opposite the power port side or you can break it off..let that side for last!
On the magellan 5310 it comes apart between the Black plastic on front and the small silver,trim on frontplastic fom the front of the unit,they sell a small , plastic tool for this ,it has a plastic hook on the end. All the black plastic from the front comes off the silver. Not the black from the silver on the back Watch the powerports, lift screen and board out from oppisite side of ports,first ,watch speaker wires too! .
