I don't really know why they started putting "error" on radio's. The radio is bad, something died in it. I fix radio's, problem is, no one wants to pay to have them fixed, unless it is a $2000 radio. You can throw an aftermarket radio on there for way less than having it fixed. The only way to clear the error, is to fix the error.
