The best fuel economy from any vehicle depends on keeping it in the best order from the ground upwards, driving sympathetically and not hauling the weight of unnecessary junk around. By from the ground upwards, I mean the right tyre choice, the right pressures and the correct wheel alignment - get these wrong and it can increase consumption between 4 and 10 mpg without considering anything else...
