I want to upgrade to use ocz platnum memory. I have a acer aspire 1.8 gig 3100+ processor. No shielding. Most kits are discontinued. What type of heat shielding and fan is used if I can find the 1.8 gig 3200+ processor chip.Type of chip needed is it the number with a 7 or the one with the 900 [email protected]

You are using a very old socket/CPU I very much doubt you will find a retailer that sells new kits or whatever your looking for (kinda hard to decipher your question) As for shielding, shielding for what? wires?
Also you really wont have any performance gain upgrading to a 3200 over a 3100+
I'd recommend upgrading your board totally to a 939 or higher like a AMD AM2 platform. Then you can browse dozens of OCZ kits and have many dual and quad processors to choose from.
