I was driving 60 mph then my rpms jumped up to 5000 and I lost power..when I slowed down to 40 it was fine but every time I push the gas my rpms would jump and sometimes catch ....what is it on a 03 Chevy Trailblazer LS

Could be Your ignition switch, If you have a lot of wieght on Your keychain..... the switch gets sloppy and it will do some pretty weird stuff while driving... Jiggle your keys at the key ignition..... and see If it duplicates the problem. Seems like it's Bogging down... Hope this helps. One of many ideas.
