I was given a Tasco Luminova a couple of months ago that had no eye piece in it, i have since purchased one for it thinking that this was the only thing that i needed for it to work correctly. Unfortunately this was not the case however. When i look through it i cannot focus at all properly on anything at all and it also appears as though the main lense at the front is cracked around the edge. I am new to any kind of astronomy and to telescopes themselves and i was wondering if it could be repaired and if so if it is even worth repairing as i have a very limited budget. Any answers or indeed any advice whatsoever about my Tasco Luminova would be very much appreciated as i was extremely dissapointed when i found out it was broken.. Thanks in advance.... Phil....

Tasco telescopes are not worth owning. They will only frustrate you and you will dislike astronomy. Buy a Meade, Celestron or Orion Even the Celestron 70 travel scope, although it has a poor tripod, will give you a great view of the moon and ok view of Jupiter and Saturn They are under $80
