I was in the middle of an order and the red scaning light still working but will not scan the product, I downloaded what was on the scanner and that worked, but still not getting a beep after scanning the product. I held both buttons down to clear the device again red line is there but no beep. tried to download to see if it was scanning but not beeping, scanner was empty

Push and hold down the big button for a while until it beeps. This scanner has a feature to disable the confirm beep that gets activated if you hold down the scan button too long!
