I was involved in a accident this past week in my a 2007 Ford Edge that I just bought 5 days earlier. My husband hit a deer and the air bag light is on but no air bag deployed. Why is this and can it be fixed or will they total my car?

The impact probably initiated a sensor on the front of the vehicle. Find a shop that deals with airbags and have them check all the sensors' status. Most likely you will need to replace the front two.
