I was watching Dish Network and my Philips 50 inch Plasma showed a line in the middle of the screen and then it made a snap sound and the picture went out at that time. I already replaced the power supply in this TV. The sound never worked out of the speakers i have to run it through the headphone jack to a pair of computer speaker to get sound

The capacitors in the power supply you replaced it with are probably blown. Take off the back of the TV and check the capacitors... shown in the picture (in a similar philips model). If they are bulging out instead of flat on the top... they may be bad. If you replaced the power supply before with a unit that had the original capacitors in it, they wear out and only have "X" amount of hours of life. (More below pic)
As far as sound... you may replace the sound board. It's shown in the photo in the center bottom right. Not sure on your TV without opening it or checking the model out more. Good luck
