I was wondering do I need to use water in the base of the crock pot before cooking in it, the model number is 3355, it says to not submerse in water but the contents is not hot putting it on high and leaving it, it has been on since about 740 this morning. I am just doing meatballs in honey garlic sauce. I have not used it before so i am not sure if I need to put water in. thank you for your assistance

If they were MY meatballs, I would use just a tiny bit of water--no more than 1/2 a cup, just to retain moisture and keep it from burning.
