- I think you splashed water into the fan shroud on the right side of the engine (see picture) - this causes a malfunction in the ignition and needs to be serviced at a Vespa dealer
Where is the battery located on your Vespa? If the compartment it is in was not sealed properly, water from a high pressure hose could get in there and corrode the post or cables. In addition, any electrical wiring that does not have proper insulation will also experience corrosion. Do you turn the ignition key and it does nothing, or does the Engine turn?
