I went out and bought two "EPX76" batteries for the "GVD-505A" Live Wire Probe, when I put them in, the probe still doesn't work. Any suggestions as to which way they actually go in or what else may be wrong with it

The batteries are piggybacked with the positive side facing the non-hot side.
