I work for a small non-profit organization and we have a Lucent phone system - the problem is that when ANY call comes in on the mail line - it rings on everyone's phone. How can I fix this so that it rings ONLY on the main phone at the receptionist?
Changing ringing on a Partner system is done on either ext 10 or 11. At one of those ext's press the feature key and "00" Next press the left hand intercom twice The display should say system programming
Press the right hand intercom once. The display should say Centralized Programming.
Enter in the extension number that you want to program.
Press the line that you want to ring. A solid light on the line means immediate ringing A slow flashing light means delayed ringing (meaning the phone will wait 3 rings before starting to ring.) A fast flashing light means no ringing.
When finished with that station press the right hand intercom and enter in the next extension to program and set ringing accordingly.
No problem, the programming is done on either ext. 10 or 11 for all the sets but, you will have to program each extension, for example
in central telephone programming you would enter ext 11 and press each line button til it was flashing rapidly (no ring)then press the right intercom button and enter ext. 12 and press each line button til it was flashing rapidly and so forth. til all extensions were (except 10) were programmed not to ring. Keep in mind that delayed ring (slow flash) works well for a back up for the receptionist No problem, the programming is done on either ext. 10 or 11 for all the sets but, you will have to program each extension, for example in central telephone programming you would enter ext 11 and press each line button til it was flashing rapidly (no ring)then press the right intercom button and enter ext. 12 and press each line button til it was flashing rapidly and so forth. til all extensions were (except 10) were programmed not to ring. Yes, she can either use the transfer button and thier extension or you could set up one touch buttons with the extensions on them on her phone. When using the one touch buttons she can press the extension for the person she wants to transfer the call to while she's on the call.
