I would hear a compressor that sounded like it wanted to keep running when the navigator was turned off....then a few days later i have lost air suspension. my vehicle (front and back) is low. could there be more than a compressor gone out

Yes, and with luck a fuse to your compressor blew and saved it. When your compressor runs intermittingly for days there is a leak in the system.
You could have a sensor leaking or and airline leak so it does not automatically mean the air suspension bags or pump is bad.
There is a special diagnostic plug for the air suspension. You might get lucky and find a Autozone or Oreillys with the tool. Some alignment shops have them and most Dealerships. One thing is the tool IS the quickest way to diagnose the problem.
Since the components are expensive replacing the one bad part is cheaper than guessing. Your Lincoln has a longer warranty than most cars, it might have some warranty left.
