I would push the prime button 3 or 4 times it starts then quiet

I took my carburetor off and blew it out with compressed air. Runs great now. Make sure to get all of it. Little screw on bottom has a hole in it too!
Potentially the solid state ignition (part number 34443C).
This is csm2 again following up on my 11 May Guest comment (now I'm a member (csm2). I replaced solid state ignition (3444D (was rev C)) and this fixed the problem. Just mowed my 1/3 acre w/ no problems. I strongly recommend you do the spark test when in the warm fail condition and, if no spark, look into replacing that part. Hard to find part. Had to try several mower shops before I found it. Best luck.
Try cleaning the carburetor out.
try cleaning the air filter out
try changing the oil
make sure there is gas
