Iam recieving thia message when i attempt to open a file with gimp 2.8 "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert a disk into drive \Device\Harddisk1\DR1"
I had the same issue, due to opening a file from a SSD card previously, which was no longer in the PC. Clearing my recent documents history fixed it. HTH!
