IBM Quitewriter- beeps and does not work!
Hi I have a quietwriter IBM typewriter - I have not uesd it for a long time.
The problem is that everytime I hit any key I hear six beeps and nothing happens - Cayou tell me what's wrong , how I can stop the beeping and start using my tryperoter

First try advamcing yhe ribbon and be sure the printhead id properly installed, lube the silver shaft that the carrier slides on with a little WD40. If you get it going the ribbons are no longer made and almost impossible to find.
