Ice buildup Kenmore Refrigerator - Model number 596.71102101. Been getting ice buildup in back of my freezer. Thought solution might be a cracked door seal but now beginning to wonder if it has to do something with defrosting
Before you go and spend the money on the defrost timer check the back or under coils for dust if it has a lot of it.. unplug it take it outside if you have an air compressor, use the air blower to blast the dust away, if you do not have an air compressor use your water hose and spray water with a sprayer if it builds pressure it is better, you can also try scrubbing it and rinsing...let i air dry and then plug it back in let me know how it goes...
