Ice In Freezer Vents
OK now my fridge has ice build up in the vents in the freezer. We think the defrost lines may be stopped up but I don't know where they are located. Any suggestions?

Thick frost on the back wall indicates a defrost problem, either with the defrost control, the heater, or the bimetal thermostat. Without personal inspection, i cant tell you which one it is, but i can narrow it down to those three
Your defrost heater is part number 5303918247 or 892552 Defrost heater kit and the defrost thermostat is part number 5303918202 or 833603 Defrost thermostat kit and a 937331 or 240545401 Adaptive defrost control or the ADC is most likely the problem. Some model like yours had defrost timers but depending on a few more numbers in your model will determine which. The ADC can be found inside the fresh food compartment and behinde the control panel. Many good solutions were made here over the past week. Yet just to prove the fact that with any appliance Technician there is no single or simple solution. I this case the solutions provided were correct until our hands and eyes were able to see what we could not. Conclusion, Freon leak. Difficult to fix and too expensive to pay a technician to come to your home and repair. I do appreciate the one on one conversation and giving us the chance here at Fixya to help and provide advice.
