Ice Maker not working on refrigidaire LGHN2844MF0
I have Frigidaire refrigerator model #LGHN2844MF0. Recently the ice maker quit working. I noticed this around the same time I changed the water filter. Here is what I have done so far in troubleshooting. 1. I emptied the refrigerator yesterday and turned it off and let it sit for over 6 hours to allow any water lines that could have frozen to thaw. This did not help. 2. I removed the new water filter and noticed there did not appear to be any water in the filter nor did the inlet and outlet tips feel wet. I remember in the past when I have change the filter the tips had some water dripping from it. From what I can tell, the frig does not appear to be sending water to the filter. 3. I have verified the supply water going to the water inlet valve is ok, no trash in the line and good line pressure. 4. I checked the brown colored coil on the water inlet valve with a digital multi-meter. The reading on the DMM was just over 400 ohms. After this I applied 110V to the coil, removed the plastic tubing and turned the supply water on. Water flowed through the valve without problem. 5. I checked the green colored coil on the water inlet valve with a digital multi-meter. The reading on the DMM was just over 400 ohms as well. I applied 110V to this coil as well, removed the plastic tubing going to the ice maker and turned the supply water on. Water flowed through the inlet valve to the water filter back to the valve without problem. I then reconnected the tubing going to the ice maker from the water inlet valve and the water flowed to the ice maker. 6. At that point I felt like the original water inlet valve was ok but just in case there was something wrong I went ahead and installed a new one. The frig has run over night and still no ice. What else could be the problem? It still seems like whatever sends power to the water inlet valve is not working. What else can I check? Before I replaced the water filter I do remember the light on the door panel was red for replace filter. I reset that on the door panel. Is there anything else that needs to be reset?
