A month ago we kept hearing water running in our freezer. Thought it may be the defrost cycling on too much. Ice in ice maker kept melting some then refreezing. Husband took freezer apart and couldn't see any problems. Thought maybe door just wasn't getting shut properly. Seems to be working much better after re-leveling. Today freezer and my extension the refrigerator has a smoky smell to it and the ice and some food has tasted smoky. I read if the seals are going bad they can give off that smell. Is this true? Any other issues cause that? We have very little money and need to solve this asap. Thanks.
