Check your trans fluid after the vehicle has warmed up. Also, run the shifter through all the gears from Park to 1 2 3...ect.( with vehicle on). If it started doing this after the trans fluid change, and none of the above work, you may have to remove the pan again and check to make sure your new filter didn't have a dirt/debris plug on it when installed.
