As i said i reset the radio after i could not get out when transmitting.have i got to do something in the menu or what you suggest

Am not 100 sure has have not worked on this model but maybe there is some sort of fuse, "or bulb used as a fuse lie in the old yaesuft-747gx" near the rear output if not loo at the copper tracks on the board around there, and trace back.
