If my Oreck Magnesium upright needs a new sensor, what might it cost to repair?
It starts, then cuts off and the light blinks. I saw your answer that it might be the belt, but what if it is the sensor?

Try pressing and holding the start button for about 15 seconds and see if the vacuum re-starts. The power board would probably run you somewhere between 3$35-$50 plus labor if your machine is not still under warranty. If it is still under warranty, it should cost you nothing.
