I'm building a new PC for my daughter using an ECS A740GM-M. I've been unsuccessful in installing Win XP (SP3 level) driver for Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus. MB says Audio Chipset is IDT 92HD202. I've been building PCs since the early 80s and I usually hit one problem that takes a while to resolve. This Audio Driver problem seems to be the one for me to deal with for this ECS MB. If I can't get it working, I may have to disable the four yellow ? devices that show in Device Manager. Any and all help would be appreciated. I've tried quite a few things but nothing has worked yet. Thanks. cinco777

Download DriverMax from drivermax.com that software will tell you what drivers you need to update and provides the links, there is also an unidentified driver section which will identify devices that don't have generic drivers installed and it will tell you what it thinks the device is and supply the driver.
If drivermax fails, you can download www.belarc.com/free_download.html (Belarc Advisor) it will run a scan of your computer and tell you what your devices are, from there hopefully it will give you more detailed information of your device drivers that will lead you to finding the correct ones.
Although according to your MB model this should be your driver and it should work. http://download.ecs.com.cn/dlfileecs/driver/mb/sound/idt/IDT115.zip
If the installer does not work you can try installing the drivers manually through the device manager once you extract the drivers from the package.
